Founder
Founded by Iain Hawthorn in 2025, Aravis Advisory provides strategic finance advice to founders and early stage entrepreneurs to build successful and resilient businesses.
We guide & support businesses in equity or debt capital raising & structuring and working capital (cash flow optimisation) management.
Iain is a AI-Fintech co-founder, Investor and founder of Aravis Investments Ltd. He is a highly experienced former international corporate banking director, having led a number of successful new high growth strategic business initiatives.

We strongly believe in the power of peer-to-peer mentoring, learning and problem-solving. With our Associates, we work with small groups of ambitious founders & scalers by holding monthly virtual and in-person events at great venues sometimes with expert guest speakers.

the hawthorn scholarship
In Partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University
Iain studied MA Management Studies and completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies at the University. He found studying at CCCU a transformational experience, which boosted his skills, knowledge, and confidence.
In announcing their first ever scholarship in 2024, Iain said “I am incredibly proud of having studied at Canterbury Christ Church University and having had such a genuinely life changing experience. I thought it was important that we should do something to directly help and encourage students to have the same opportunity"
